The Cast [of this blog]

First off: I don’t use people’s real names, and sometimes I’ll be a bit creative and mix things up a little to allow for some level of anonymity, particularly for other people, and I do sometimes employ artistic license to conjure up situations or aspects of relationships to illustrate how I feel.

Anyway, here are some of the recurring cast of this blog:

A. – my current therapist who I’ve been seeing the last three years. I’m normally in thrice weekly psychoanalytic therapy, but at the moment A. is on maternity [read eternity] leave.

Adult Me – the part of me who is grown up and is trying very hard to take charge of my life and trying to nurture and parent Little Sissi

B. – the therapist I was seeing before terminating and just before starting therapy with A.

*B* – my sisters’ older brother, four years younger than me

D. – a previous counsellor who I saw for about eight months

G. – my sisters’ mum

Little Sissi - my inner child, my little one, who sometimes reacts very strongly to things in the here and now, because of things that happened in the past

My Family – my mother & my father (separated), my 9 years older brother by whom I was abused, my one year older brother and my 3 years younger brother

My Other Family – consists of G, *B* and My Sisters…..and my youngest sister’s dog :) They are the people who keep me afloat when the going gets tough. Has now been expanded by my sisters’ partners and the older of the sister’s son.

My Sisters / My More Than Sisters – my two much younger sisters, who I’m in no way related to, but who I’ve known since the day they were born. They are 7 and 9 years younger than me, respectively. The concept “my sisters” often also includes *B*
